Problems with version 4.10

Best thing is to just let it run, that way it can auto correct how long a WU will take. If a WU takes much longer or shorter than the initial estimate, BOINC will adjust the estimated time on the WUs that have not ran and over time the estimate will be much more correct. On the day of the deadline, abort all WUs that have not yet ran, keeping the one that is in process; BOINC will then report the aborted WUs as such and download new ones based on the new estimate times. |

I had another sidedrop1 use well over 600MB of virtual RAM today. I aborted it as well. It had been running for 3h (CPU time) and was only 10% done. I will get more info tomorrow. (or later today depending on where you are;)) |

look at the home page... XML users may need to update their http references to the proper team, user, and host XML files. |

cunchers 5.9 has had some issues for some people, perticurly those who have a stock client older than 5.8.6. |

If they are testing other OSs in the labs, then there would be work for them. I dunno if this is true or not though. |

That meens there is work, but not for the OS you have. ie. you are running windows, but the work avalible is selected to be exicuted on *nix or the MAC. |

I had to abort this WU: http://www.ufluids.net/result.php?resultid=3891089 ran for over 6h and got stuck at 10%... AND was taking over 1.1GB of virtual mem! The system is a P3 1GHz with only 512MB RAM.  (cant remove the sig uppon an edit?) |
